McCollum Promoted to Logistics Leader

Allyn International Services, Inc. (Allyn), provider in Logistics, Trade Compliance, and full scope Tax services recently promoted Maria Gascon McCollum to Logistics Team Leader in the Fort Myers office. McCollum’s primary responsibilities include managing the department’s day to day operations, having an immediate impact on business fulfillment, client relations, and the achievement of long term departmental goals and objectives. This position works with the Logistics Manager to ensure that standard processes and relevant metrics are in place, and are used to improve customer service, reduce or contain transport costs, and increase the productivity of the department. The Logistics Leader has primary responsibility for prompt issue resolution and acts as back up to the Logistics Manager.    

Before McCollum’s promotion she held a Logistics Specialist position where she was responsible for managing logistics activities in a manner that fulfilled business requirements in parallel with the goal of transportation cost reduction. Her position was responsible for collecting and communicating all necessary information related to upcoming and ongoing shipments, projects, and services, as well as providing logistics support, consulting, and obtaining best possible transportation rates. Prior to joining Allyn, McCollum earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Trade from Universidad Privada de Santa Cruz de la Sierra in 2011 and continued her education at Arkansas State University where she obtained her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in August, 2014.
