Allyn International Announces Trisha Davidson as CMI-Sales Tax Professional

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Oct. 16, 2014) – Allyn International Services, Inc. (Allyn) announces that Trisha Davidson attained her Certified Member of the Institute (CMI) Sales Tax certification in July 2014. Davidson passed an extensive two-part exam that occurred over a period of two days administered by the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT). This comes after years of state and local tax experience, attending specific courses and seminars related to the CMI certification process, and fulfilling all the requirements of the designation.

Shortly after, she joined the Tax team to implement new client transitions, and in April 2010, Davidson was promoted to Tax Director, which remains her current position. Obtaining her CMI-Sales Tax certification is not only a personal achievement but also a credit to her profession, as this designation is a demonstration of her expertise within the tax field.

The major requirements for the Sales Tax Professional Designation include membership in the Institute, sales and use, excise, and/or gross receipts tax experience, attainment of prescribed educational requirement, and successful completion of both comprehensive written and oral examinations. In addition, after attaining the Sales Tax designation, certified members are required to continue their professional education by attendance at IPT and other approved educational programs
