Typhoon In-Fa hits East China

Recently, East China's Zhejiang Province upgraded its emergency response to Typhoon In-Fa to the highest Level I from July 24, Saturday at noon. Shanghai maintained the second-highest level of warning against typhoon and the third-highest level of warning against rainstorms on Sunday since issuing the alerts on Saturday afternoon.

The Typhoon is moving northwestward at a speed of 15 km per hour and bringing heavy rain and storm in the eastern or northeastern coastal areas of Zhejiang and Shanghai.

Shanghai Yangshan Port has evacuated hundreds of vessels as the wind force off the coast will continue to strengthen. All large container ships had been evacuated in the early hours of Saturday.

Although Typhoon is passing by, the local transportation is still a mass. All flights landing at the Shanghai airport were canceled, and most of the vessels & trains are pending at the origin side. More than 108,000 trees were strengthened with extra support. Various public venues, including parks, sports stadiums, libraries, museums, in several districts, especially those in coastal regions, were closed this weekend. Even the cargo collection truck was also affected and have to be cancel. Now that the rainstorm has passed, all is back to normal. Some congestion and delays come from Shanghai port but everything has recovered.
