Wuhan Boiler Company located in Wuhan City, Hubei province, was established in 1953 and has more than 60 years of experience in designing and making boilers. In 2007, Alstom became the controlling shareholder of WBC. In 2015, WBC joined GE Power and become a member of GE. Now, WBC covers 173,000 meter of area and has around 2,000 employees in Wuhan.

WBC main products include tower Boiler, Two Pass Boiler, CFB Bolier (circulating fluidized bed boiler), HRSG Drum and Mills ect.

The Mae Moh project is a 600MW coal-fired power plant, located in Thailand’s northern province of Lampang. GE has supplied its state of the art technologies, GE WBC manufactured and supplied all boiler pressure parts for this Project. Six batches of pressure parts were received at site within five months between March 30th and August 30th of 2016.

Hubu Project

In July 2017, the first batch of HUBCO pressure parts from WBC were loaded from Huashang port to Shanghai port. The delivery was one month ahead of the agreed acceleration plan, this not only secured the delivery and payment milestones of the contract, but also provided effective guarantee for the installation progress at the site.

Wuhan is an inland city, thus export goods need transport to Shanghai port and then loaded to a vessel. usually by truck or barge from Wuhan to Shanghai port. Evidently truck cost is much higher than barge.

In the Hubu project, the main products use barge service from Wuhan Huashang port to Shanghai port and then load to the vessel directly. This saves transport, loading, and unloading cost. This shipping solution has also been used in the Hassyan project and the Sihanoukville project.
