Post Summary Correction (PSC) Filing: New Trade Service Announced

Allyn’s New Post Summary Correction (PSC) Filing Service helps importers take greater control of their compliance by providing a quick and efficient option for PSC submission.

While most importers have traditionally had their brokers file most PSC, over the last few years this has not been a timely process. Brokers routinely take a long time to file PSC because they do not prioritize them.

As faster alternative, Allyn can file your PSC, allowing importers to proactively improve data accuracy, recover eligible duties and fees, and address compliance issues before they become larger problems.

What is a PSC?

A Post Summary Correction, or PSC, is a way to correct an import entry summary in ACE after CBP has initially accepted it, but before the entry liquidates.

A PSC can be used to correct many types of entry-summary data, such as:

  • HTS classification

  • Entered value

  • Quantity

  • Country of origin

  • Duty amounts

  • AD/CVD information

  • Chapter 99 tariff reporting

  • Other entry-summary data elements

However, not all data elements can be changed via the PSC process. Some of those that can’t be changed include but aren’t limited to: IOR, Port of Entry, Date of Entry, and SPI (in certain cases).

By partnering with Allyn for PSC filing support, importers can reduce delays and take a more proactive approach to managing customs compliance. If you have any questions or if you would like more information, please contact Allyn at sales@allynintl.com.
