July 2024 Colorado Retail Delivery Fee Rate Increase

Effective July 1, 2024, the retail delivery fee rate will increase from $0.28 to $0.29.

A retail delivery fee is imposed on all deliveries by motor vehicle to a location in Colorado with at least one item of tangible personal property subject to state sales or use tax. The retailer or marketplace facilitator that collects the sales or use tax on the item sold and delivered, including delivery by a third party, is liable to collect and remit the retail delivery fee.

Important reminders:

• Small Business Exemption: If your retail sales were $500,000 or less in the previous calendar year, you are exempt from paying the Retail Delivery Fee on retail deliveries for the following year.
   
• Online Account Access:
  • If you are unable to access your Retail Delivery Fee account online, you might have an access level below 'Full Access'. To change this, log in with a 'Full Access' account (typically the first login created for a business) or contact the Department using one of the methods below.
  • Online Help: Go to Tax.Colorado.gov/ROL-help for assistance with setting up your account.
