Coronavirus Update - September 1

Allyn International is committed to providing you with the latest updates during this very fluid and everchanging period. Our goal with the information provided below is to give you at a high-level, a current overview of the most heavily impacted regions.

Global Updates

  • Air capacity constraints on the trans-Pacific may become tighter due to the traditional peak season leading up to Christmas. Increased consumer spending, continued demand for PPE and new technology product launches may result in per kilogram rates similar to those seen in Q2 2020.
  • Beginning today, the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has revised its Indus Express service and is offering improved transit times from India and the Middle East to the US East Coast.
  • India has moved into the “Unlock 4” phase of reopening. There are no restrictions on Intra-state, crossland border trade with neighboring countries and inter-district movement of persons or goods beginning September 2.
  • New COVID safety measures of varying degrees are being implemented across Europe to help curb the second wave of infections. All essential activities remain operational.
