Coronavirus Update - May 1

Allyn International is committed to providing you with the latest and most accurate updates during this very fluid and ever-changing period. Our goal with the information provided below, is to give you, at a high-level, a current overview of the most heavily impacted regions.

As we enter a new month, new guidelines are being released lifting restrictions across the globe. The guidelines vary greatly between countries, regions, states and provinces so it is important to research each location individually. While a sign of reopening is very positive, logistics industry experts are optimistic while being cautious in predicting the longevity of the road to recovery.

While restrictions are being lifted in many areas, Latin America, where the virus took hold much later than other regions, has yet to reach its’ peak and remains largely in the lockdown phase. There are countries within the region that have implemented zero restrictions while others have implemented business closures and stay-at-home restrictions. Assuming Latin America follows similar metrics of other nations, the region is expected to reach its peak in two-weeks.
