Coronavirus Update - March 10
Allyn International is committed to providing you with the latest updates during this very fluid and ever-changing period. Our goal with the information provided below is to give you at a high-level, a current overview of the most heavily impacted regions.
This week marks exactly one year since the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a global pandemic. The world has been affected in ways only previously read about in history books. Every aspect of society has been required to adjust. From restrictions on the movement of people, business closures, virtual workspaces and schooling, vaccine
distribution, increased demand for PPE to capacity constraints and soaring shipping costs we have all been required to quickly pivot from “business as usual”.
The following tables will provide the current cargo transport operational status and capacity levels for heavily affected countries.
- Capacity is limited from Australia to the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe. Minor container shortages.
- Capacity is very low from Japan across all trade lanes. Major container shortages.
