Coronavirus Update - June 2, 2021

Allyn International is committed to providing you with the latest updates during this very fluid and ever-changing period. Our goal with the information provided below is to give you at a high-level, a current overview of the most heavily impacted regions.

COVID-19 positivity rates in India have improved slightly over the last week but Indian state governments are proceeding with caution and are not rushing to reopen. Many state governments have announced extensions to the existing lockdowns, including very strict restrictions on the movement of people. The extended restrictions are causing shipping disruptions, so it remains important to verify the operational status of your pickup and delivery locations and carrier transit times.

The following tables will provide the current cargo transport operational status and capacity levels for heavily affected countries.

  • Capacity is limited from Australia to the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe. Minor container shortages.
  • Capacity is very low from Japan across all trade lanes. Major container shortages.
  • Capacity is very low from South Korea to Europe, the Middle East and the Americas and there are major container shortages.
  • Capacity to Africa and Asia Pacific is limited and there are minor to medium container shortages.
  • Capacity is very low from Brazil across all trade lanes. Major container shortages.
  • Capacity is low from India across all trade lanes. Minor to medium container shortages.
  • Capacity is very low from Singapore across all trade lanes. Major container shortages.
  • Capacity is limited from the UAE across all trade lanes. Minor container shortages.
