Chinese Logistics Specialist Speaks Out on Coronavirus

Since January 23, Wuhan, China – a major industrial and transport hub in the inland Chinese province of Hubei – has experienced a deadly novel coronavirus that has already infected more than 7,900 people globally. Now, human beings are fighting with the disease.

Overnight, British Airways announced that it would suspend all direct flights to and from mainland China, with others expected to follow. United Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Air Canada are amongst the other airlines that had already announced plans to reduce flight numbers. For now, sea transports are safe and shipments are arranged accordingly so far. 

The Chinese government delayed the resumption of most work until February 9, in order to control inspection cases and avoid new cases from growing. Therefore, it will affect some factories’ production, and cargo will be delayed. On the supply side, they will meet traffic congestion on highways, it will be difficult to catch gates in time, but our agents trying their best to rush.
In order to find the best solution to meet requested delivery dates by customers, we keep working and coordinating with all parties.
