• ECCN: Correct ECCN classification is paramount when maintaining compliant Export Controls. Allyn has the experience and knowledge to help you ensure you are exporting compliantly.

• Licensing: Allyn can assist you in determining if your exports require a license. If a license is required Allyn can help you apply for the License. Shipping a controlled item without the proper licensing can turn out to be very expensive and can result in civil and/or criminal penalties.

• AES Filing: Effective July 2, 2008, the U.S. Census Bureau requires the electronic filing of export information via the Automated Export System (AES). Allyn can answer your questions on how to file using AES and how to determine pertinent Electronic Export Information (EEI). In addition, Allyn can file through AES on your behalf.

• Deemed Exports: Allyn can assist in identifying deemed exports. A deemed export is the transfer, release, or disclosure of technical data about controlled commodities to a foreign person in the U.S.

• ITAR Compliance: While regulated commercial goods as well as “dual-use” goods are regulated by the Department of Commerce through the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) goods that are on the U.S. Munitions list are subject to ITAR and are controlled by the U.S. State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.

• Sanctions and Embargoes: Allyn can help you determine if you are dealing with sanctioned or embargoed locations. Shipping to customers in such locations is illegal and will result in serious penalties.

• Denied Party Screening: There are numerous lists to check to in order to determine that your exported items are not being sent to a denied or debarred party or entity. Allyn can help you determine if the consignee is a denied party.

• Export Screening: Allyn’s expertise and experience can strengthen your compliance programs by improving export screening procedures to include; ensuring correct Schedule B & ECCN classifications, determining required license information, screening for denied or debarred parties, and completing filings through AES.

• Export Compliance Manual: Allyn can help your company develop a customized Export Compliance Manual that defines your company’s processes and internal controls.
