UPS Freight Suspending LTL Operations

UPS Freight will suspend all LTL services beginning November 7, 2018.  A November 9 vote, by the Teamsters union will determine whether or not UPS Freight goes on strike.

A rejection of the latest reiteration of the collective bargaining agreement would lead to a strike starting on November 12th.  Approval of the agreement would lead to an immediate return to normal operations.

By suspending pickups, UPS will ensure that if there is a strike, there is no freight left in the pipeline.
